Alemachen CM Ethiopia appreciates the support of volunteers and how they have allowed us to make a difference.

Joshua has been serving Alemachen CM Program for the past one year. He has been teaching Aleamchen Children basic skills and he has been exceptionally committed and constant in his service and very gentle in treating the children. We are very grateful to Joshua for giving generously his time and skill to the Aleamchen Children.

Who we work with

Partners:

The children who reside in Alemachen and need treatment are going to Alert Hospital, Cure Hospital, and Korean Hospital. According to their disability, the children get rehabilitation care services from Cheshire Services (CSE).  After surgical treatment, the children will need braces and shoes. Those are measured and made by CSE for a small price. Physiotherapists working at CSE assess children with severe club feet and give them corrective casts accordingly.

Role of the partner

Cure Children's Hospital
  • Surgical treatments, orthopedic surgeries and treating and helping all medical assessments.
  • Providing Physotherapy professional at Alemachen center

 
   

Cheshire Services Ethiopia
  • After surgical treatment the children will need braces and shoes. Those are measured and made by CSE for a small price.
  • Make periodic physio-assessments and provide physiotherapy according to the child’s needs.

Prosthetics-Orthotics Center
  •  Provides the children with special orthopedics and prostheses and is most cooperative in fast small repairs of ortho-contraptions when the need arises and children are in difficulty without their ortho-wear.

Hospitals and Higher Clinics LABORATORY:
  •  Most of the routine lab-tests (City Scan MRI, stool, blood, urine are made in different laboratories. For special tests, the children depend on other reliable laboratories in town.
